If you liked T. J. Hooker, try
BingeNext's take
If you're into classic crime dramas with a strong lead, T. J. Hooker is a solid pick. William Shatner stars as a seasoned cop who leaves behind a cushy desk job to get back on the streets, training new recruits and tackling tough criminals in Lake City. The show has a gritty, old-school vibe that fans of Law & Order or NYPD Blue might appreciate, but with that 80s flair that makes it feel like a real throwback. With five seasons and 91 episodes, it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys a steady mix of action and character-driven stories. Heather Locklear and Adrian Zmed add some great energy alongside Shatner, making it feel like a team you want to root for. Watching it feels like stepping into a tougher, no-nonsense world of policing, where experience and street smarts are everything. It’s a great choice if you want a crime series that’s both familiar and a bit nostalgic.
