BingeNext's take
If you’re in the mood for a film that mixes sharp comedy with drama and isn’t afraid to challenge you, Bamboozled is worth a watch. Damon Wayans leads a cast that includes Jada Pinkett Smith and Savion Glover in a story about a producer who pitches a deliberately bad idea for a TV show, only to see it become a huge hit. It’s a wild ride that feels both funny and unsettling, perfect for anyone who likes movies that make you think while keeping you entertained. The film runs a bit over two hours, giving you plenty of time to get drawn into its unique and provocative take on television and race. If you’ve enjoyed quirky, offbeat films like Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, this one will likely hit the right spot.
