Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026. This policy explains what information BingeNext ("we", "us") collects when you use bingenext.com or the BingeNext iPhone app, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have. Questions any time: Jordan@Bingenext.com.

Information we collect

Content you enter. The shows, movies, moods, filters, and focus types you submit to generate recommendations, plus favorites, watch-later items, and dislikes you save. Account information. If you create an account: your email address and authentication details, handled by our authentication provider. Purchase status. Whether you hold a Premium subscription (via Stripe on the web or Apple's App Store in the app). We never see or store full payment card numbers. Usage and device data. Basic analytics events (pages viewed, features used), approximate device type, and, in the app, a random device identifier used for rate limits and ad-reward credits for people who have not created an account. Logs. Standard server logs including IP address, used for security and rate limiting.

How we use information

To generate and personalize your recommendations, operate favorites and watch-later lists, enforce fair-use rate limits, process subscriptions, improve the product, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Services that process data for us

We rely on a small set of processors to run BingeNext: Supabase (database and authentication), OpenAI (your submitted titles and preferences are sent to generate recommendations; they are not used to train OpenAI's models under our API terms), Stripe (web payments), Apple (App Store purchases), TMDB and TVMaze (show and movie artwork and metadata lookups), Google Analytics (usage measurement), and Google AdMob (advertising in the iPhone app for free users). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Advertising

The free tier of the iPhone app shows ads served by Google AdMob. Google may use device identifiers and cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where you have consented; you can manage this in the app's consent prompt and your device settings. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.

Cookies

The website uses essential cookies for sign-in sessions and analytics cookies to understand usage. You can block cookies in your browser; sign-in requires the essential ones.

Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, or delete your data. Deleting is self-serve: your Profile settings include a delete-all-data option that removes your account, preferences, favorites, and history. Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, and non-discrimination, and the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Retention and security

We keep your data while your account is active or as needed to run the service, then delete or anonymize it. Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and our database provider maintains industry-standard security controls.

Children

BingeNext is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the date above, and for significant changes we will notify you in the product.
