If you’re into crime dramas that really grip you with tension and emotional depth, Memories of Murder is a must-watch. Set in 1980s South Korea, it follows three detectives with very different approaches as they try to catch a brutal serial rapist and murderer terrorizing a small province. The film feels intense and haunting, with a slow-building suspense that pulls you into the desperation and frustration of the investigators. Song Kang-ho leads a strong cast, and the story doesn’t shy away from the darkness of the crimes or the complexity of the characters. It’s perfect for anyone who appreciates a thriller that’s as much about the people chasing the killer as it is about the case itself. At just over two hours, it’s a gripping ride that stays with you long after the credits roll.
