If you’re into shows that mix sharp comedy with real emotional depth, Beef is a great pick. It follows a road rage incident between a struggling contractor and an entrepreneur who’s feeling stuck, and from there, their feud gets intense and messy in a way that’s both funny and kind of dark. Steven Yeun and Ali Wong bring a lot of energy and nuance to their roles, making the characters feel real and complicated. With two seasons and 18 episodes, it’s enough to get invested without feeling overwhelming. Watching Beef feels like peeling back layers of frustration and anger that people don’t usually show, but with a lot of laughs along the way. If you liked shows that balance drama and humor like Grace and Frankie or Why Women Kill, this one will probably hit the right notes for you.
