BingeNext's take

If you’re into stories that mix survival drama with psychological horror and coming-of-age moments, Yellowjackets is a gripping watch. It follows a talented high school girls soccer team who survive a plane crash in a remote wilderness and shows how their lives unravel both during their time stranded and decades later. The show balances intense, savage survival scenes with the complicated emotional aftermath these women face as adults. With a strong cast including Melanie Lynskey and Tawny Cypress, it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys layered mysteries and character-driven drama. Watching it feels like piecing together a dark puzzle, where the tension builds slowly but surely, and the characters’ past and present collide in unexpected ways. If you liked shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Pretty Little Liars, this one will keep you hooked.

Synopsis

This equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama tells the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later.
