2026 TV Premiere Dates: What Aired, What Is On Now, What Is Coming
By Jordan A. · · Updated · 5 min read
Checked September 9, 2026. A premiere calendar is only useful if you can tell what already happened from what has not, so this one is split that way: seasons that have finished airing, seasons airing right now, and dates that are announced but still ahead of us. Everything below comes from the network or streamer announcement or the season listing on TVmaze.
Dates move. Studios shuffle finales, and a show announced for November can slide to January without a press release. If a date matters to you, check it again the week before.
Already aired and finished
The Pitt season two ran January 8 to April 16, 2026 on HBO Max, fifteen episodes again, one hour of a hospital shift per episode. Season three is ordered but undated.
Industry season four ran January 11 to March 1, 2026 on HBO. Eight episodes, same as every season before it.
Scrubs came back on ABC on February 25, 2026 and its nine-episode revival season finished April 15. It did well enough to be renewed quickly, which is not what most revivals get.
Paradise season two ran February 23 to March 30, 2026 on Hulu, eight episodes.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive season eight landed on Netflix on February 27, 2026, cut down to eight episodes from the usual ten.
For All Mankind season five ran March 27 to May 29, 2026 on Apple TV, ten episodes.
Invincible season four ran March 18 to April 22, 2026 on Prime Video.
The Boys season five, the final one, ran April 8 to May 20, 2026 on Prime Video. Eight episodes, and that is the end of the show.
The Testaments premiered on Hulu on April 8, 2026 and finished its ten-episode first season on May 27. It is the Handmaid's Tale sequel series, following the show that ended in May 2025.
Euphoria season three ran April 12 to May 31, 2026 on HBO, four years after season two, and it is listed as the show's last.
BEEF season two arrived on Netflix on April 16, 2026 with a new eight-episode story.
Your Friends and Neighbors season two ran April 3 to June 5, 2026 on Apple TV, ten episodes.
The Bear season five ran May 5 to June 25, 2026 on Hulu, eight episodes, and it is the final season.
House of the Dragon season three ran June 21 to August 9, 2026 on HBO. Eight episodes, and a fourth season is coming, undated.
The Comeback returned to HBO for a third season and wrapped on May 10, 2026, twenty-one years after the first. Lisa Kudrow playing a sitcom actor being humiliated by the industry is somehow even more relevant now.
Fallout season two straddled the year, starting December 16, 2025 and running to February 3, 2026 on Prime Video. Eight episodes. Season three is ordered and undated.
Reacher season four ran August 12 to September 16, 2026 on Prime Video. Season five is already ordered.
Airing right now
Ted Lasso season four started on Apple TV on August 5, 2026 and runs weekly through October 7. Three years after the finale that looked like an ending, so expect to be reminded of what happened.
Slow Horses season six starts September 16, 2026 on Apple TV, six episodes through October 21. This show has kept a roughly annual schedule since 2022, which is close to unheard of.
Scrubs season two starts September 30, 2026 on ABC, ten episodes through late November.
Announced, still ahead
The Diplomat season four lands on Netflix on October 15, 2026, eight episodes released at once.
The Terminal List season two premieres October 21, 2026 on Prime Video.
The Gilded Age season four starts November 1, 2026 on HBO, eight episodes.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season three premieres November 11, 2026 on Prime Video. Two seasons have aired so far.
The ones people keep asking about
A few titles get searched constantly and do not have a date, so here is the honest answer on each.
Severance has aired two seasons, in 2022 and 2025. A third has been ordered and there is no announced premiere date, and it was not part of Apple's fall 2026 lineup announcement. If you see a date for it, check the source.
Stranger Things is done. The final season released in three parts across late 2025 and closed out on December 31, 2025. There is no season six.
The Last of Us season three is ordered with no date. Season two ended in May 2025.
Fallout season three is ordered with no date. Season two ran December 2025 into February 2026.
Silo season four is currently listed for July 2027, which is far enough out that it will probably move.
Why dates move, and how to tell when one will
Three patterns are worth knowing if you track this stuff. First, a date announced at an upfront presentation in May is much softer than a date attached to a trailer. Second, a season with an announced premiere but no announced finale is usually still being finished, which is where slippage happens. Third, a streamer that has already confirmed the episode count is further along than one that has not.
Applied to the list above: the October and November dates all came with episode counts and are firm enough to plan around. Anything listed here as ordered with no date is genuinely unknown, and a site claiming otherwise is guessing.
How to use this
If you want something to watch tonight, take the finished list: The Boys, The Bear and House of the Dragon are all complete runs you can start without waiting on anything. If you want a weekly show to follow, Ted Lasso and Slow Horses are both mid-run right now. If you want to plan, the two dates worth putting on a calendar are October 21 for The Terminal List and November 11 for Rings of Power.
Calendars tell you what is coming. They do not tell you what you will like. For that, BingeNext for TV takes two or three shows you already loved and gives you a ranked shortlist with a reason attached to each pick and where it streams. A run takes about a minute, and a free account gets you three a day.
